Honeywell Announces T87F Transition To T87K/T87N Models

Honeywell’s T87F “Round”, the world’s most popular thermostat, has taken a turn to the future. Honeywell has announced the transition of all T87F thermostats and Q539 subbases to the new T87K (heat only) and T87N (heat/cool) models. The “new” thermostats are mercury-free and feature electronic switches that offer additional temperature control accuracy. The appropriate heat/cool subbases are packaged with the new thermostats making it easier to order/stock the new thermostats. The new T87K and T87N models offer easier installation (no anticipator to set as well as no precise leveling needed), optional range stops and a 5-year warranty. These features have all been added while maintaining the same look, feel and “twist to set” operation that the “old” T87F has provided for more than 50 years. The following cross reference chart notes the correct T87K/T87N replacements for the T87F thermostats stocked by Yaun Co. As our T87F stock is sold out, we will bring in the “new” Round models:
