We’re Making Hot Water

As many of you know, Rick, Burt and I have installed AET Solar Thermal hot water systems. One of the questions often posed is what happens when snow piles on the flat panels. It so happens we recently experienced a 5” snow fall. The snow ended during the evening and at 8:00 a.m. the next morning it was 21 degrees outside with the panels completely covered. The sun was shining brightly and by 11:00 a.m., all the snow had slid off the panels and they began to make hot water. It is a great thing to have hot water from the sun!
