The deal gets sweeter with ECM motor

You may already know about Rheem's RGRL 2-stage 95% AFUE gas furnace which is eligible for the 30% Federal Tax Credit up to $1500. Well the new RGRM which is also a 2-stage 95% AFUE has an ECM motor which is also eligible for the tax credit and some local utility companies are giving rebates for the ECM motor. The variable speed blower motor technology provides ultimate humidity control, quieter sound levels and year round energy savings.   Two stages of operation save energy and maintain optimal comfort level. The furnace operates at 70% capacity on low heat and 100% for high heat.

The heat exchanger is constructed of all stainless steel for maximum corrosion resistance and thermal fatigue reliability. The low profile 34” design is lighter and easier to handle and leaves room for optional accessories. There are left or right side gas, electric, and condensate drainage connections. The integrated control board manages all operational functions and provides hookups for humidifier and electronic air cleaner and also has built-in control board diagnostics. The insulated blower compartment, slow-opening gas valve and a specially designed inducer system make it one of the quietest furnaces on the market today.

    Note this unit offers a conditional parts warranty (registration is required) which requires that the home owner or installer go on line and complete the registration.
