Yaun Company is Driven by Energy Efficient Technology
Yaun Company was founded in 1923 by RD Yaun who was the first to sell the new technology of oil burners in the Hudson River Valley. At that time, coal was the primary source of heat and delivered to the area by rail. The key business interest has always remained the heating and air conditioning of structures.
As a heating oriented wholesaler we've always appreciated the differences between run of the mill versus state-of-the art heating systems. Our long term policy has always been to sell quality. The idea is to gain happy customers and not merely capture sales. More than twenty years ago we started designing and selling radiant floor systems. We became aware of their superior comfort and of their lower operating costs, a great combination for the homeowner. In the beginning the public was skeptical and very few people wanted to be the first buyers of these new systems. Now our radiant floor systems have proven themselves and are now in demand by our customers.
During the past ten years or so home heating systems have undergone huge changes for the better. We learned about the amazing quality and fuel efficiencies coming from a boiler company called Viessmann. Heating fuel costs can be reduced by 50% or more. However, there are a few catches. A large part of these savings are geared for new construction and there is a higher initial cost. We started educating heating contractors about its features. The fuel savings that will be incurred by using these high efficiency technologies will pay for themselves within a few years, a realized return of your investment. Once again, as with radiant floor systems, we found that a good portion of the public not only could afford the best heating systems but demand them.
Many of the new heating and air conditioning technologies are energy efficient. Names such as Heatlink, Viessmann, Unico, Viega, Biasi, have been added to our standard heating lines such as Peerless, Weil-McLain, Rheem/Ruud, and Williamson. Together they give us a great mix of top quality products and systems to offer our customers.
Along with designing and supplying quality systems we also provide schools, service and installation training programs for our installing contractors. Any system is only as good as the mechanic who installs and services it. An educated contractor is usually a competent and successful contractor. He will be able to explain the benefits of these new heating technologies. We try hard to work in friendly partnerships with our contractor customers. “Serving you is our business.”
