PRODUCT: This notice applies to solenoid coils used on fuel pumps and shut-off valves manufactured by Suntec Industries, Inc.

 

ISSUE: a number of these coils, mostly having date codes before April of 2006, may develop an open connection inside the coil. The internal connection on these few coils may fail after repeated cycles of temperature expansion and contraction. During the subsequent burner lockout and cooling of the coil, some may remake the connection, thus disguising the problem. Please consider this possibility when analyzing burner lockout conditions.

 

REPLACEMENT COILS: See your local distributor for replacement coils, provided by Suntec under warranty.

 

COIL DATE CODE: The coil manufacturing date is specified in the small date code on the bottom side of the coil. See the example below.
