UV is Green
Ultraviolet
disinfection of drinking water is the safe, chemical-free method of ensuring
clean drinking water preferred by those concerned with environmental impact.
UV does not use
any chemical additives, nor does it produce any potentially harmful byproducts
as it kills bacteria and viruses which may be present in your drinking water.
Using UV light to protect your water supply (rather than chemical additives)
means you are choosing to make a smaller environmental footprint on the earth.
Use UV—Go Green!
When we refer
to the UV dose applied by a UV disinfection system, we are referring to the amount
of germicidal UV energy that is imparted into the water stream being treated.
Each different
pathogen in water has its own susceptibility to UV light, for example E.coli
and Influenza are two different pathogens and each requires a different UV dose
in order to be “killed”.
Each of the
different models of UV systems produced
by Wycomar will
provide far more UV
dose than is
required for a 99.99% kill rate for most common pathogens. In fact, all
Wyckomar UV systems come with a guarantee that your water test will indicate –0
for E.coli and coliform (these are the two most common pathogens tested for by
public health labs).
Have
you investigated the water quality to ensure that the water meets all public
health drinking water standards?
In
many cases, buyers will refuse to close
unless a clean water test is provided (0-0 for E.coli and coliform) and this
can cause major upsets as closing time approaches.
Simply by installing a Wyckomar
UV water treatment system, you will ensure that the water quality will pass all
public health tests for bacteria and viruses.
