Have you ever stopped to think about how many ways there are to do anything. Just a few might be; the right way, the wrong way, my way, the traditional way, the old fashioned way and of course just another way.
What gets me shaking my head is why contractors would invest the time and money to attend a training seminar on the proper installation of a product and/or system and then soon after decide that perhaps one of the many ways mentioned above might be better than doing it the vendor’s way. It might be reasonable to assume that if there was a better way, the vendor would promote it.
A possible consequence of not following the proper installation procedure as put forth by the vendor is not only that the product or system may not operate at its fullest potential but you may also lose the support of the vendor in the process. Doing it your way may leave you waaay out on a limb.
