YaunCo Report Statement of Purpose
“With this inaugural issue of the Yaunco Report we hope to improve existing communications between the wholesaler and dealer.
We will publish six issues of our newspaper during the year. You will receive the Yaunco Report in September, November, January, March, May and July.
Our publishing schedule call for photos and copy to be in the printers office the last two weeks of the month prior to publication.
The Yaunco Report will feature articles covering sales and service. Our format is designed to allow each department head and his department ample space to express their views.
The Report will announce new products and news about principal manufacturers.
In our hustle-bustle world today we will use the Yaunco Report to introduce to you our Yaun Company personnel.
Richard H. Yaun, president of the Yaun Company stated in regard to the publication of the first issue of Yaunco Report, “I hope that this newspaper will be received as enthusiastically by our customers as we are at issuing it.”
With this Report we hope to aid the role of our company representatives. Today our sales staff can rarely tell their story except in a busy reception room.
Today’s more sophisticated products and markets demand a better educated, better informed and more personable salesman. He and he alone can close the sale. But he is now too ineffective and too costly to be used in the daily merry-go-round of making calls just for the net effect of saying “hello” to busy buyers or for “missionary work” on new products.
With few exceptions, purchasing departments are being assigned growing responsibility. Buying is being automated with data-phone and punched cards.
Selling must be automated too and so we present the Yaunco Report.
