PREVENT Ice Damage Before It Happens with DE-ICER KITS
David Kawauchi, Electric Marketing Manager
Remember last winter when customers complained about having costly ice damage repairs due to roofs and gutters freezing up? Even though it’s still summertime, now is the time to PREVENT these problems by installing roof de-icer cable kits and controls from EASY HEAT.
EASY HEAT ADKS roof de-icer cables stop ice dam formation on inclined roofs, gutters and downspouts. This allows the free flow of water away from the roof down to the ground. Kits contain shingle clips and cable spacers and are rated @ 120 volts. ADKS kits come in pre-packaged lengths from 30 to 240 feet.
Roofline length alone DOES NOT determine the amount of cable necessary to protect a roof. Roof design, gutter/downspout location, and number of sides of peaked roof are all important factors in sizing the correct de-icer cable kit for the application. The formula for sizing cable kits can be found on EASY HEAT’s website (www.easyheat.com).
EASY HEAT recommends the use of the RS-2 temperature and humidity sensor for automatic control of the de-icer cables. This activates the cables only when needed, not allowing the cable to be “left on” using electricity needlessly.
Brrr - Ol’ Man Winter is just around the corner. Once winter is here and snow and ice are on your customers’ roofs, the only way to prevent costly ice damage is to CHOP ICE! Help them out by installing roof de-icer kits from EASY HEAT now.
